FIRE News

In Call 5 there was an objective for new FIRE proposals. In these days we are expecting to hear news which new IPs are accepted. We are warmly welcoming these new projects to join FIRE community. We believe that these new IPs will make FIRE initiative more stronger.

FIA Stockholm

FIRE community cruised from Helsinki to Stockholm with good winter breeze. Our high topic was experimental research. ECODE, N4C,, WISEBEd/OPNEX and  PanLab/PII projects were presented.  We had good discussion in seminar and took action points from the following topics:

-          How to run experiments=> publish white paper

-          Define definitions/terminology

-          Describe segments of different used/stakeholders

-          What is experimentally driven research?

-          Create performance of metrics systems

FIRE sessions at the FIA Stockholm At the FIA Stockholm the FIRE initiative organized two cross-topic sessions as well as a FIRE plenary session. The schedule of the sessions was as follows:

FIA Valencia

We are engaged in the organization of one session at the next Future Interenet Assembly, 16 April 2010 in Valencia with a focus on the test and experimental facilities.

The proposed topics for FIRE seminar are :

·         Call 5 Project presents

·         PPP

FIRE Weeks

FIRE Weeks will be organized from 28.6-1.7.2010 July in Barcelona.  The week program will consist of reviews and conference. The conference will be organized on Wednesday 30th June. The preliminary topics are Portfolio analysis of Calls 2& 5 and introduction of new IPs.
